My first successful attempt at Pixel Dailies challange 🙂
I’ve uploaded Loop Hell to Newgrounds and it received a Daily 2nd place on December 15th! I’m really happy 🙂

I implemented a few medals if you like this sort of thing.
The theme this time was One Room.
I came up with a game that is looping on the same room in time. It’s called Loop Hell.
The game is on itch.io. I’ll be posting it on newgrounds and gamejolt when I figure out how to implement medals (or not). And I get some additional amount of sleep.
I’ve been working with Unity this time. Don’t be bothered if you see black screen at first. Unfortunately WebGL (or at least it’s Unity version) loads much slower than Flash.
Several people have asked and as I know it is tought to get (and rather frustrating), here’s a solution to the achievement “Patience is even a bigger Bliss” (higlight the text with your mouse):
Before choosing the option on “problem with the game / problem with installation” you need to first choose the menu option “information regarding any material we sent you (option 2)”. You will hear that they didn’t send you anything.
Then listen to all the other options and come back again to “information regarding any material we sent you (option 2)”. They will tell you about the soundtrack.

It’s so cool to discover that Free Afteroon was frontpaged on Newgrounds!! 🙂
It literally lost 0.5 rating stars in the process but whatever, I’m happy that a lot more people played it.
I know the game is a bit special, it’s very probably a love it or hate it affair!

The post-jam version of the game is now available on newgrounds and gamejolt.
I wasn’t really motivatated by further expanding the game, so this post-jam version isn’t very different from the original. I have slightly improved visuals and added animations to the walkman level. There are also some medals implemented if you like this sort of thing.

I don’t do a lot of jams but since some time I’m trying to participate in every Ludum Dare, and this time was no different!
The theme of this edition was “Ancient Technology” and I decided to do a video game experience about old technologies from the 80s and 90s such as old rotary phones, cassette walkmans, floppy discs, VCR etc.
I had a bigger concept in mind and in the beginning I imagined an arcade style game with lot’s of puzzles, but I spent too much time solving some technical issues so in the end the game is a bit different from the initial concept.
But I believe it’s still an interesting experience 😉
